Our belief is that supported living is a simple concept, which enables a person with a developmental disabilities to live within their community successfully. Our SLS agency encourages individuals with developmental and or intellectual disabilities to take control of and be responsible for their life choices.
Ruby Lee Harris-Wortham was the catalyst for our journey. In California, she worked as a social worker in the hospital industry. It is here that she opened up her first home for children with developmental and or disabilities. Rather than waiting for someone else to fill the void, Ruby, being the leader that she was, decided to fill it herself.
Ruby's vision and commitment was to provide mindful, progressive, and supportive services. We remain unwavering as we expand our services to meet the needs, choices and desires of our individuals.
